Why did God make a leper live alone and isolated, and command him to cry out "unclean!"?

It seems capricious.

Leviticus 13:45 - 46

NASB - 45 "As for the leper who has the infection, his clothes shall be torn, and the hair of his head shall be uncovered, and he shall cover his mustache and cry, 'Unclean! Unclean!' 46 He shall remain unclean all the days during which he has the infection; he is unclean. He shall live alone; his dwelling shall be outside the camp.

It is my opinion that the reason our Father setup dietary laws was two fold. One was to insure that His people followed certain laws pertaining to food and diet. Swine was or is forbidden. One reason was the eating of not fully pork has Trichonosis, a large parisite. The other reason was to encourage His people to be separate from the other people in the area. Most of these tribes were idol worshippers of every sort imaginable.

Similar laws cover livestock, fowl, seafood. Again sanitation and the need to protect His people from the outside world. After the crucifixion of our Lord, the dietary restrictions were lifted. Jesus had defeated Satan, the separation from evil was changed. With Christ dwelling in you, one could be with all to tell them the Miracle of our Savior.

I suppose with all the restrictions on Jews, if they had accepted Christ, they couldn't witness to non Christians. Couldn't eat, touch, violation would have made them unclean. We now all eat from the same plate.
