So far, three men have offered an answer to this question. No woman has come up with an idea of what a John 8 woman should do when caught.
At least the John 8 woman wasn't married... well, I don't think she was.. It was said that she was caught in adultery but no husband was mentioned. It's not easy to know the exact meaning of what the bible is describing sometimes.
What did the John 8 woman do? She let the supposed prosecutor speak on her behalf. She never made a sound. And it worked out fine for her.
She can try reminding her husband that he isn't without sin.... That might make him more angry than before, however.
In the Bible, adultery, I would think from Jesus’ teaching on adultery, means adultery. My take on it is there was no reason to name the husband because the lesson was on forgiveness and adultery. John 8.1:11
