There really isn't an answer which I can give, however there is usually a moment when one first feels the Holy Spirit and it is so strong that one cannot help but cry. I don't want you to be like many others, going to places to feel the Holy Spirit, but not actually doing anything with it. The Holy Spirit is meaningless if it does nothing to you.
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4 ESV
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 ESV
"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10
So seek not the feeling of the Holy Spirit, but the effect of it -- self-control and perseverance.
Fight on brother, everyday seeking the Lord more.
I have been filled with the Holy Spirit once by the laying on of hands but I have been regenerated with the Holy Spirit many times. It has happened while praying for others as an elder at elder prayer after elder prayer by another laying hands on me or even after just a touch by another on one occasion after elder prayer and always while worshpping the Lord. Many times in services standing in the service about once a year at various locations but always while worshipping and praising the Lord God of Heaven. These extra infilling have always happened with deep single mindedness of praise, worshipping and total focus on thanksgivingness not expecting any thing but receiving everything that I need but not knowing what was missing if that makes sense. I have always been changed after this being bolder, kinder, gentler, more loving, more patient. The fruit of the spirit magnified in me and mainfested through me. The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, meekness, gentleness, faithfullness and patients with self-control. Spiritual discernment and knowlege has also increased but always wieght and judged by the whole consel of God's word.
