Was Ellen G. White a false prophetess?

Ellen G. White, in concert with the Millerites, founded a new church--the Seventh-day Adventists. When their predictions of Christ's Second Coming failed, they then created a new doctrine, the Sanctuary/Investigative judgment doctrine.

Although Ellen G. White may have had numerous visions (over 2,000 claimed during her lifetime), these or other spiritual experiences do not make her a prophetess. Her prolific writings (over 50,000 manuscript pages) indicate no more than a teaching or preaching function. A prophet will by definition communicate the word or words of the Lord through the Holy Spirit for the Church. These will always be highly instructive, authoritative, and final. A false prophet will falsely claim he/she has received words from the Lord, whether sincerely or not. The truth of falsity of Mrs. White's visions and writings must be judged by the divine standard "you shall know them by their fruits" Matt, 7:16. The judgment will be accomplished over the course of time of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Certain predictions regarding the second coming of Christ have been proven to be false, so the record at present is not perfect.

From quotes, it becomes increasingly clear that Ellen G. White believed that Jesus was the angel, Michael. I.e. she believed that the man Christ Jesus was not the Lord God Almighty.

SDA is Seventh Day Adventist.

From Letter 32, 1899, quoted in the SDA Bible Commentary, Volume 5, pg. 1129 we have Ellen White stating:

"But although Christ's glory was for a time veiled and eclipsed by His assuming humanity, yet He did not cease to be God when He became man...The man Christ Jesus was NOT the Lord God Almighty, yet Christ and the Father are one."

The problem, of course, is that Jesus is the LORD God Almighty. Some SDA defenders have tried to assert that what she meant to say was that Jesus is not the Father, by inserting tropes (i.e. phrases or words) into the text of her statements. (Note: you can make any statement say what you want by using this method!) However, it would be easy to state that Jesus is not the Father! But that is not what she said.

Let's look at what Scripture says about Jesus Christ:

7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Rev. 1:7,8 ESV)

It is very clear, from the above text that Jesus is the Lord God...the Almighty. False prophets have no qualms about contradicting Scripture. The one who contradicts Scripture is not of God. (1 John 4:1-6 Read this passage carefully!)

3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord (Jehovah--LORD God)” except in the Holy Spirit. (1Cor. 12:3)

9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (Jehovah--LORD God) and believe in your heart o that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Rom.10:9)

In Isaiah 45:23b

The LORD (Jehovah) says:

‘To me every knee shall bow,
every tongue shall swear allegiance.'

and in Philippians 2:10,11 Paul says:

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

It becomes obvious from the above passages that Jesus is Jehovah, and the Lord, the Lord God, and the Lord God Almighty.
