Water baptism is not important and was never commanded by our Lord.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: -Matthew 28:19 KJV. Please not that Christ did not say baptize in water, but into Christ.

I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. -Mark 1:8. This statement was made by John the Baptist.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. -1 Corinthians 1:17. This statement was made by Apostle Paul himself and when you read it in context you see he was talking about water baptism.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. -Galatians 3:27. Notice that he did not say as many of you that were baptized into water but into Christ.

Water baptism is not Christ's baptism but John's (the baptist) baptism (see Acts 18:24). Jesus baptized with Holy-Spirit and fire.
