Or you can look at it this way: Shouldn't we dress nice and look our best since we are coming to The Lord's house to worship Him? If The Lord appeared in front of you, wouldn't you want to be dressed nice for our amazing, LOVING God?
SUNday is a work day, so work clothes would be appropriate.

My question was not concerning the Sabbath day, but whether people think there is a standard of dress appropriate for Christian worship.
Having lived in Pakistan where Sunday IS a work-day (banks, post offices, government departments open and people do business as usual) local Christians find it appropriate to wear their best clothes when they worship, if they can get time off work that is.
In the West, where Sunday is generally a day when government and business is closed, given the choice, what would you say (MIKE) is appropriate apparel for assembly before our Lord?
For myself and my church, we are not so much concerned with what you wear. It is more important that you show up! Think about it.
