Jesus is our Passover Lamb; and as a result as the angel of death passed over the houses of the Israelites that had put the shed blood on their doorposts from the lamb they were about to eat; and their first-born children were not killed. In like manner the shed blood of the lord Jesus; sprinkled on the alter of God; ratifies the New Covenant, which we are a part of, and offers us forgiveness of sins. Our sins are removed from us as far as the East is from the West; and as a result we are justified [pronounced not guilty before the throne of God] The shed blood of our Passover Lamb Jesus also guarantees that if we hold fast to the end; the second death will have no power over us; as we will be resurrected as immortal glorified men/women at his return at the end of this age. What amazing Grace our God has provided for us through His beloved son Jesus His anointed one.
