Praise is a state of thankfulness and is a much more conscious mind and flesh-driven act and more public, whereas worship is more intimate and more inward-driven by the Holy Spirit, although the Holy Spirit drives them both.

Worship submits at a deeper level. It bows and it lifts holy hands unto the Lord. Praise is more vocal, exuberant and can include a dance-like state. Worship is more solemn and intimate.

Both can be and should be a part of every believer's public and private life.

Who else deserves such adoration? Who else deserves a standing ovation? Who else deserves us to bow or prostrate ourselves before him? Some of my greatest answers to prayer took place after I prostrated myself before the Lord with my face against the ground.

The story of Paul and Silas in prison demonstrates the possible power behind both prayer and praise with adoration, although we can not know until we get to heaven their exact prayers, praise or form of worship.

Lifting up holy hands, bowing, kneeling and prostrating yourself before the Lord is demonstrated throughout the scriptures.

To me, praise is to acknowledge God/Jesus for something He has done, promised or caused to happen, etc., in a vocal way.

To worship God/Jesus is to bow down at His feet and say, "Do with me as you will. You alone are worthy." It can also incorporate sacrifice and/or giving beyond the ordinary.
