Can the parents faith in Christ save a baby that dies?

In 2 Samuel 12:23 David’s baby died and he said: "He cannot come to me, but I shall go to him." This seems to imply that David knew his child was going to heaven. Acts 16:31 says “ "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household."

Acts 16:23

ESV - 23 And when they had inflicted many blows upon them, they threw them into prison, ordering the jailer to keep them safely.

So that is a little confusing, I understand that a baby would go to Heaven, but what about the other people in your household if they are not saved but you are?

Until an age of responsibility is reached, children and babies are under a covering and not subject to Hell. What that age is, is not a exact age but between God and that child. It starts at the point where the child understand the decision he or she must make. In Jewish culture it was 13. Hence the Bar Mitzvah. No a child created by God is not going to go to hell for something the child doesn't understand. Just as Adam and Eve didn't know anything and were held sinless till they are from the tree of knowledge.

I think a child is accountable for sin, when he or she truly can understand sin, and also truly comprehend it, and know the difference from right and wrong. I would say they would have to be at least 13. I may be wrong, but this is what I feel.
