The Bible is the Word of God written to His people and, as such, it contains everything we need to be "complete" (2 Timothy 3:15-17). Part of the "everything" we need is comfort. The Bible has a lo...

When we go through all kinds of disappointments in this life, we always have to remember that one day we will be in heaven, If we have accepted the free gift of God by faith alone, we know we are saved. I have lost one son, and three grandchildren. No matter what people say, unless you have gone through it yourself, It is heart wrenching. My son was killed instantly. He was 42 years old. The shock was almost more than I could stand. The one thing I held on to was that He would be in heaven waiting for me, and we would be able to reunite. After not being able to sleep for about three days, I gave up and through the help of the Holy Spirit I was able to say, the Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord. One verse always comes to mind. First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that YE MAY KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. So it is a great comfort when you go through trials and tribulation, to know beyond a shadow of a doubt, you will end up in heaven just because you have at one time believed the savior died for all your sins, and He will never leave you or forsake you no matter what. Hebrews 13:5 Our Savior is not like us. He continues to love us no matter what. We are His children, John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the children of God, EVEN TO THEM THAT BELEIVE ON HIS NAME. So when we look forward to eternity with our savior and those that have gone before us, We have much to celebrate even in the trials. Unbelievers have no such hope as we do. So no matter what we go through in this life, eternity is forever. But at the time, it is still hard, and I have great compassion on people who are going through any kind of trial. It can almost be impossible to pray or read your bible in such times, so read all of God's promises and hold them dear so that when trials come, you already have them in your heart. The Holy Spirit who lives in us is our comfort in these times and He will remind us of His promises.
DIFFICULT TIMES; THE BIBLE AND COMFORTs. Difficult times are challenging period, difficult and very tempting for the people. If a christian is not adequate in his life, and really not inclined to the directive of the word of God, he/she may find it difficult, and could see it as an opportunity to exploit into the world, and darkness not minding the consequences, but with a selfish ambition to survive and live to the admiration of people, which is unlike a faithful believers. Hosea 6:3, "let us acknowledge the Lord, let us press on to acknowledge him, as surely as the sun rises, he will appear, he will come to us like the winter's rain, like the spring rains that water the earth". If a Christian could humble himself before the Lord, with persistence prayers and worship, a difficult time is not an everlasting condition or period, its' unlike a season which as specific period to emanate as created by God, it should not be made to wait, before finding possible solutions, Christian must always be prepared and adequately, in faith and spirit to live in this world. For the Lord is specific in, 2Corinthians 6:14, "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" Jesus is Lord.
