ESV - 1 Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it and laid incense on it and offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, which he had not commanded them.

The Bible is God's love letter to us. It is also a photo album of Jesus. It is to be read in context, but also has information for us today.
Aaron is a picture of the High Priest. Jesus is our High Priest, who offered the perfect sacrifice once, for all. Grace. He is the sweet fire as opposed to the strange fire offered in the censors of Nadab and Abihu.
The High Priest brings the prayers of the people to God, he intervenes for us. He is the sweet fragrance, the perfect sacrifice. He has fulfilled all of the law, no man can do that. Only the High Priest can present us clean to God.
No self righteous man can bring a pleasing offering to God unless he is washed by the sacrifice of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
