No, they are saved just like every other human through faith and trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches there is one mediator between God and man...Jesus Christ.

The fact that the Jew were once called God's chosen people people should not cause anyone to think that the had a special relationship with God over gentiles they did not in the beginning and especially not now. The fact that the Hebrews were chosen really had nothing to do with them to begin with but more with the acts of one man, Abraham. The promise was not to the Jews but to Abraham alone that God made His covenant promise.

It was fulfilled in Jesus Christ who is now the seed of Abraham that rules the and not the Hebrews. The very fact that the "chosing" is of little importance lies in the fact that it was not written in stone that the Jews would always be God's chosen it was contingent upon one thing that they remain faithful to the Lord their God. All throughout history God's most fiercest battles right along side the heathen nations was His so called "chosen people". Most times the were just as bad as or worse than the nations around them to whom they were supposed to be an example to and draw to God.

They failed on every level; became lifted up in pride thinking they were special because of their position with God who finally assured them they they were not special when in AD 70 they saw Him "coming on clouds" at the destruction of Jerusalem and the total disfranchizement of the Jews as both a nation and people of God. The entire book of Hebrews is devoted to present Christ's new way of dealing with men under grace and truth and not the law and the people for whom the law was originally was intended.

So to answer the question no Jews are not saved because the are God's chosen people. This did not "save" them even when the pleased God when they were considered "the chosen". They law did not make them "new creations" Christ does and this is for any man jew or gentile who accepts Him.

Suggesting that the jews had special priviledge as God's "chosen" to the exclusion of the gentiles puts God in a very bad light suggesting that He is prejudice against His own creation. And that is hardly the case.

Do not mistake "chosen" as being exclusive and permanent -- it was not was from the start; it was conditional upon remaining faith to God. They were warned as early as Moses who prophesied that their status would end -

"The LORD will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down, a nation whose language you will not understand, a fierce-looking nation without respect for the old or pity for the young. They will devour the young of your livestock and the crops of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, new wine or oil, nor any calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks until you are ruined. They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the cities throughout the land the LORD your God is giving you (Dt 28:49 -52).

Paul further states that a Jew was not a true Jew just because he was "born one." We should ponder what he really meant here.

Well said Mr. Woody! We are all God's "chosen" people. After all we are created by Him. The question is, do we believe that He has told the truth. If we refuse to believe, we do not receive...we have the will to choose.
