According to sources I found: Judas hanged himself (Matthew 27:5). James the Greater (the son of Zebedee and the brother of John) was beheaded under Herod Agrippa I (Acts 12:2). (These are the only two apostles whose deaths are described in the Bible.) Peter was crucified in Rome in approximately AD 66. Tradition indicates that he was crucified upside-down at his own request, since he said that he was not worthy to die in the same manner as Jesus had. Andrew was crucified upside-down on an X-shaped cross in Greece, after having preached in what are now modern-day Russia and Turkey. Thomas traveled as far as India, and was killed by being stabbed by the spears of four soldiers. Matthew was stabbed to death in Ethiopia. James the son of Alphaeus was crucified in Egypt. Simon the Canaanite was sawed in half in Persia for refusing to offer sacrifices to the sun god. Thaddaeus reportedly traveled with Simon the Canaanite. According to two alternate accounts, he was either crucified in Turkey, or clubbed to death and then sawed in half (as Simon was). Matthias (Judas' replacement (Acts 1:15-26)) was put to death by burning in Syria. Philip preached in Greece, Syria, and Phrygia (west-central Asia Minor), and was martyred in Hierapolis, Turkey, either by beheading or crucifixion (like Peter, reportedly upside-down). Bartholomew was martyred in Albanopolis, Armenia, either as a result of being beheaded, or of being flayed alive and then crucified (once again, upside-down). John died a natural death at a very old age (but only, according to some accounts, after having miraculously survived being dipped in a pot of boiling oil in Rome, and then having been exiled by the Roman emperor Domitian to the island of Patmos, where he received the prophecy recorded in Revelation).
Peter asked to be crucified upside down, so that his death would not be the equal of Jesus and the Romans supposedly obliged.....according to National Geographic and Eusebius Philip and Bartholomew both died in India gruesome deaths. Matthew died in Ethiopoia by a sword wound. Because of the events being 2000 years ago, there are several sources and several answers for the disciples' deaths.
