I think the only group who claims Jesus is the Archangel Michael are the Jehovah's Witnesses.

“But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.”” Jude 1:9 ESV
This Scripture does not seem to rule out the possibility and probability that Michael is the Lord himself. If we allow for the functional view of an angel as 'a messenger on a special and godly mission for God', then Jesus, who functioned as a human messenger, could similarly have functioned as an angelic messenger and entity for God. Allowing for the given functional view of angels permit regular humans on earth to operate like angels for God. The everlasting gospel of Revelation 14 is currently being proclaimed by human messengers for God. These human messengers may be regarded as God's angels in action and in these last days before Jesus returns.

I don't know who the captain is but KJV says Joshua worshipped the captain and the captain did not say not to do so as all angels do.
Joshua 5:14-15 KJVS
"And he said, 'Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come.' And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, 'What saith my lord unto his servant?' [15] And the captain of the Lord's host said unto Joshua, 'Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy.' And Joshua did so."
Compare the description of the man in Daniel and Jesus in Revelation:

"Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: [6] His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude."
Revelation 1:11-17 KJVS.
"[12] And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; [13] And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. m [14] His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; [15] And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned n in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters."
