Should the Lion of the tribe of Judah be bereft of His mane? To subject the Lord to Pauline address seems somewhat arguable when his issue of men with long hair at Corinth was targeted against the effeminate that prostituted themselves at the Temple of Corinth in the midst of a liberal culture. Jesus, on the other hand, being neither an offspring of the Levites nor a Nazarite, nonetheless fulfilled the Law as the Law-giver Himself. Jesus, as an orthodox Jew of Mizrahi stock may have had locks in keeping with Jewish customs. Jesus without long hair, in my humble opinion, is like a lion without a mane. Should we bereft the Lion of the tribe of Judah of His mane, let alone a full beard? God forbid (cf. Daniel 7:9).
