Christians should: reflect on the church's historical role in the oppression of BIPOC people in the United States and around the world. White Christians should decenter the discussion so they don't make it about themselves. White Christians should share and amplify the voices of black Christians in discussions on social media and elsewhere. Bishop Curry of the Episcopal Church is an important leader for Christians to listen to. White Christians should research ways to be better allies to our BIPOC family. White Christians should avoid knee jerk defensiveness, and racist remarks such as "all lives matter" or "blue lives matter", when our BIPOC brothers and sisters are facing what amounts to a genocide in this country. White Christians should read books and other media by BIPOC people so as to avoid drawing racist and ignorant conclusions.
