Why, as Christians, do we doubt what we are reading in the bible? When we say that we believe, why do the words of the bible have no impact on our daily lives?
1 Corinthians 2:12 - 16
ESV - 12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.

Great question, Grant! My opinion is that some Christians are not asking in faith for understanding (James 4:2-3; 1:5). I pray Psalm 119:18 BEFORE I read the Scriptures, every day. "Open my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy law." The message is revealed by the Holy Spirit (1 Co 2:10-16) 1. What He does (1 Co 2:10-12): He reveals to us God's deepest secrets. 2. How He does it (1 Co 2:13-16): This is accomplished through the Scriptures. HW
