14 The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. 15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. 16 You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Psalm 34:15: "The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry." Isaiah 40:28: "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable." 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If My people, who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." James 5:13: "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone among you cheerful? Let him sing psalms." Job 36:5: "Behold, God is mighty, but despises no one; He is mighty in strength of understanding." Romans 8:18: "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us." Pray without ceasing. He is near to all who cry to Him.
In 2 Samuel 4:4, his nurse dropped him when Mephibosheth was at a young age, he fell and became crippled for life in both feet. The Lord didn’t change that. He didn’t “uphold all those who fall” (physically). But that does not mean that He didn’t uphold spiritually or physically in other ways; Mephibosheth ate at King David’s table the rest of his life or the better part of it! I.e. he didn’t have to work. Or, take the incident when a lumberjack swings his ax, his ax-head flies off accidentally, and kills his neighbor (Deuteronomy 19:5). The Lord didn’t lift him up. In today’s world, countless numbers of people starve and even die without nutrition. But God still cares and shows His love in spiritual and eternal ways. QSB
