Example: For a person who has been rejected continuously in life by people and never knew God until they were in adult life and got saved. I find it hard to trust on the word of God’s love when tough times come. I do trust but I do doubt a lot in those battles. Is it possible that there’s something wired in my brain that stops this from being fully comprehensible?

It's a mistake to compare the love we can share with people to the love that God has for us. There's no comparison and it reduces the potency of God's love. People must prove their love for us. Either we believe that God loves us or we don't; if we're holding final judgment until he gives us some kind of proof we will never believe it.
Circumstances will continue to deteriorate somewhere in our life, so he can never live up to the expectations of the persons who need ongoing proof of his love.
To trust God is to stop trusting anything or anyone else, it is to realize that he has all authority in all cases. It is to want what he wants even when you know that his purpose will hurt you nonstop. And even with all that, you need to remember that he loves you more than you are able to fathom.
It has nothing to do with how your brain is wired. In fact your brain is a deterrent to coming to realize the depth of God's love for us. Your brain tells you to trust how you feel. How you feel is constantly changing. You feel differently on Monday morning than you do on Saturday night.
Either you believe God or you don't! If you ever settle on believing him no matter what, your doubts will disappear. It's quite remarkable.
Again, either you believe God or you don't! He says he loves us. Your brain will tell you one thing today and something different tomorrow. Trust his word, not your feelings.
I appreciate this honest answer.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
