What is the difference between Jesus being the image of God (Col. 1:15) and man being made in the image of God?

Does this have something to do with us being image bearers?

The difference is that Jesus is God our Creator. He is the one who created all things for himself.

Hebrews chapter one reveals that Jesus is the exact expression of the true reality of who God is.

God in the beginning created mankind (male and female) in his image and likeness.

Male and female were created beings to bear the image of their Creator.
