As I read the cited verses, the "mystery" to which Paul is referring pertains to something that was previously hidden, but has now been revealed. It is a twofold revelation, referring not only to the ability of Christ (now that He has been incarnated and also completed His atoning work and returned to the Father) to both sanctify and dwell within believers; but also to the expansion of the body of those believers to include not only Jews, but also Gentiles (such as those to whom Paul was writing),
