Did God die? If Jesus was God, and Jesus died on the cross, does that mean God died?

I don't know, you need to clarify this for me, because I never read this part in the bible. Please send me some verses regarding this question.

Ok yes, JESUS died on the cross. But it said three days later he rose from the dead. And God, He has always been there. He never dies. I bet if it was possible that God died, then the devil would take over and fire would be every where, people steeling more, people kidnaping more than they do now, and the police wouldn't do any thing. If that all hasn't happen now, then God is not Dead!

God is omnipotent, he is the father, son and holy spirit. Since he is all powerful, why would one think that God can only be one of these things at any given time? Jesus' death on the cross was a fulfillment of God's plan as foretold in the old testament. Does one think that God was not/is not in control at ALL times?

God did not die. God is immortal, but Jesus came down from heaven to take on human flesh so he could take away our sins so we could go to heaven.
