It can be very confusing to understand how the different titles used for God are used in the Bible. Part of the problem is that different Bible translations use the terms somewhat differently. The ...

I believe the various titles if we can call them that specifically indicate whom the scripture is referencing. For instance, Isaiah 44:6 reads: " Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God." There are two personages mentioned, 1. the LORD the King of Israel and 2. His redeemer the LORD of hosts. Each/both are the first and the last and are also God. Isaiah 48:2 states: " For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts is his name." The title "LORD of hosts" including "LORD God of hosts" is mentioned almost 300 times in the KJV and most prominent in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah and Malachi. Some of the modern translations do us and the scripture a great dis-service by rendering the title "LORD Almighty". What's the issue? As already shown from Isaiah 44:6, this LORD of hosts is an individual, the first and last and also God. Some translations meld or roll them all together without distinction. I believe scripture is revealing the second personage of the tri-une godhead, the preincarnate Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, he did pre-exist and as the Old Testament records, was very active. In Psalms 84:3 we read : " Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God." I am constantly amazed and humbled to realize that the Almighty GOD of creation would condescend to incarnation and subject himself to torture and death for a rotten sinner like me! " For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:6-9)
DID YOU KNOW that YHVH considers it very important to make His name known? "And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, YHVH, have not forsaken those who seek You." [Psalm 9:10] "Turn to me and favor me, as is the way to those who love Your name." [Psalm 119:132] "YHVH, Your name (endures) forever; YHVH, Your memorial (is) from generation and generation." [Psalm 135:13] "I (am) YHVH; that is My name; and I will not give My honor to another, nor My praise to engraved images." [Isaiah 42:8] "So My people shall know My name thus in that day; for I (am) He speaking. Behold Me!" [Isaiah 52:6] "My mouth shall speak the praise of YHVH; and all flesh shall bless His holy (set apart) name forever and ever." [Psalm 145:21] "For from the east to the west, My name shall be great among the nations, and everywhere incense shall be offered to My name; and a pure food offering; for My name (shall be) great among the nations, says YHVH Tsabaot (of Hosts)." [Malachi 1:11] "And I will make My set-apart name known in the midst of My people Israel. And I will not let My set-apart name be profaned any more. And the nations shall know that I am YHVH, the Holy (Set-apart) One of Israel." [Ezekiel 39:7] "And also, to the alien who (is) not of Your people Israel, and has come from a land afar off for Your name's sake, (for they shall hear of Your great name, and Your strong hand, and of Your stretched out arm, and he shall have come in and prayed toward this house.) (You shall) hear in Heaven, Your dwelling place, and shall do according to all that the stranger calls to You for, so that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear You like Your people Israel, and to know that Your name has been called on this house which I have built." [1 Kings 8:41-43] "Then those fearing YHVH spoke together, (each) man to his neighbor. And YHVH gave attention and heard. And a Book of Remembrance was written before Him for those who feared YHVH, and for those esteeming His name." [Malachi 3:16] If His name is this important to YHVH, should it not be equally important to us?
This is a subject that often times gets shoved to the back and discarded, now many bibles have The Father's name listed as GOD, Yahweh....but as we research and studied further going back to the Dead Sea scrolls and the original letters of the apostles, we have found that Yahweh was in fact a miss placing of the original language vowel points and thus resulted in a misspelling of his and his sons name....God or Gad as it is properly pronounced is not and never was his name, this is the mighty one of fortune and money, but in fact in the 1611 bible we see the Father's name as it was properly written in Hebrew : יהוה .....this is also found when you look up the name Jehovah in the concordance of lexicon.....properly pronounced the Father's name is Yahuah......and the son's name is not and never has been Jesus, that was a mistranslation to the highest level.....the Greeks and Romans were trying to translate his name as best they could and called him: iesus, which is (e a sus) this is where the false translation of his name began.....properly his name is Yahusha, not yeshua
