I submit that throughout the Bible, God in fact actively seeks out and calls forth the weak and rejected of this sinful dark world to His Holy service. He does this to confound the narcissistic esoteric "wise" people of that dark world, who because of their own pride and self glorification are disqualified, dead players. Consider many of God's chosen began with spoken excuses as to why they couldn't possibility be used, or asking, "Is a mistake here somewhere Lord?" Gideon's final submission to God's call of duty brought forth victory and glory to Him. Judges 6:11-12 Gideon did not see himself as much, but God did and the transfer of the mindset made all the difference in the world, from Gideon's sadness now into his unseen waiting future! If you're rejected, weak and humble, the good news is the Lord has chosen you for His team. Now suit up and play like the champion you are! When I am weak, He is strong........................warrior on
In our old sinful nature we are all weak, in the sense that we cannot and will not be a witness for Jesus as Savior and Lord. Once we become a Christian, we receive a Spiritual Nature which is ours to overwhelm that old soulish, sinful nature. The Holy Spirit is ours, and He guides us into all Truth, as long as we listen. Any weak person outside of Jesus can become a bold warrior for Him. Any weak Christian abiding in Jesus can become a bold warrior by simply yielding to the Holy Spirit, to prayer, to study, to fellowship with others of the faith. One does not have to be a powerhouse preacher to serve. There are many positions in a local church for every Christian to serve. A "weak" Christian can serve the Lord through saying "God bless you" to folks encountered along life's way. A "weak" Christian can pray mighty prayers before falling asleep at night. A "weak" Christian can lift a helping hand to folks in need. A "weak" Christian can love little children and be mindful of their safety outside the home. Be all HE asks you to be.
