I was reading Isaiah Chapter 18 last night and I felt prompted to research this chapter. Funny that it would be a question today. When I researched this chapter it brought forth many many articles on the United States. To best share this information, please read this chapter (Isaiah 18) and research it for yourself. It will give great insight into prophetic writings on America's biblical position.

The book "The Harbingers" although Christian fiction was very interesting and touched on this very thing. A very good read.

Most people know how America was founded—but few realize how close the nation came to total destruction just a few decades later.
In 1814, as British forces invaded Washington, D.C., the U.S. Capitol burned, the White House was set ablaze, and government leaders fled. It seemed the young nation would not survive.
But then something unexpected happened.
A violent storm descended on the city—extinguishing fires, scattering enemy forces, and bringing the attack to an abrupt end. Even some in the invading army recognized it as no ordinary event.
Was it just a coincidence—or something more?
