Can you give me a summary of the Bible?

A summary of the Bible in one sweep: it’s the story of God creating, rescuing, forming, correcting, and ultimately redeeming humanity, moving from creation to new creation.

A one‑paragraph summary of the Bible

The Bible tells the story of a God who creates a good world, watches humanity fall into sin, and begins a long rescue mission to restore what was broken. God chooses Abraham’s family to bring blessing to all nations, forms Israel as His people, and sends prophets to call them back when they stray. In the New Testament, Jesus arrives as the promised Messiah, revealing God’s love, dying for humanity’s sins, and rising again to defeat death. After Jesus ascends, the Holy Spirit empowers the early church to spread the message of salvation across the world. The story ends with God renewing creation, defeating evil, and dwelling with His people forever — the completion of His plan of redemption.

Conclusion

The Bible in One Sentence

God creates humanity, humanity falls, God promises redemption, Jesus accomplishes it, and God restores all things.
