If Adam was not deceived, then why did he allow Eve to deceive him?

Apostle's statement in 1 Timothy 2:14 says that Adam was not deceived, yet Genesis 3:6 reveals that Adam was right there with Eve when was deceived by Satan. I submit unto you that Adam was deceived, unfortunately.

1 Timothy 2:14 - 3:7

KJV - 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

There is another possibility demonstrated in Adam's behavior in this instance, one which I have personally observed in my own marriage. Briefly, a matter arose in which my husband had made a plan of how to get us to our car on our vacation, but out of fear or intimidation, did not oppose a different plan put forward by our host. This plan took us through an unmowed lot with tall weeds, which resulted in me falling in a hole, spraining both ankles and needing medical attention. My husband admitted later it was his fault. He, perhaps out of fear or other reasons, did not speak up, even though he did not want to traverse through the weeds, resulting in my injuries. This also could have been what was occurring with Adam, a passivity that cost everyone.
