What happened after Jesus' resurrection to the dead that rose when Jesus died?

Matthew 27:50 - 53

NKJV - 50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. 51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split.

These verses from Matthew (which is the only place in the Bible that mentions or refers to this incident) specifically indicate that the dead saints were raised at the same time that Jesus died (and thus prior to His resurrection) -- even though those same verses say that these resurrected individuals did not go into Jerusalem and appear to others until after Jesus was resurrected.

This indicates to me that the resurrection of these individuals could not have been to an eternal state, since the Bible also clearly says (1 Corinthians 15:20) that the resurrected Christ was the "firstfruits" with respect to eternal life of those who were dead).

From the above verses and reasoning, I would conclude that, although the Bible does not specifically state it, those who were raised at Jesus' death later died a second temporal death, as would have happened with other individuals that Jesus raised from the dead during His earthly ministry.
