"Strong meat" is the wording used in Hebrews 5:14 of the King James Version of the Bible, and reflects the English language as spoken at that time (that is, the seventeenth century). A more current translation of the term would be "solid food". (That is, the author of Hebrews is making the point that Christians who are new to the faith, and are thus figuratively "babies" with regard to their spiritual knowledge, must first be given "milk" by being taught easier, fundamental precepts of the faith, so that they may mature in their faith and knowledge, making them ready to be later introduced to more advanced or complicated spiritual concepts, just as babies advance from milk to solid food as they grow older.)
