Occult means “hidden”. It covers practices that are not approved of by God e.g., astrology (Is. 47:13), and this was practiced by me and by the Babylonians (Isa. 47:9-13). I was misled by the Devil, and I did NOT know JESUS! This was BC –Before Christ!

The occult is called Sorcery [classified this way in NAVE—Nave’s Topical Bible --]
SORCERY, divination by an alleged assistance of evil spirits. It is forbidden by Moses at least 2 or 3 times, Lev. 19:26-28, 31; 20:6; Deut. 18:9-14.

It involved:
casting spells (Deut. 18:11), consulting with spirits (Deut. 18:11),), sorcery (Exodus 22:18) and its consequent punishment (Ex. 22:18; Lev. 20:27; Deut. 13:5), witchcraft (Deut. 18:10), and spiritism (Deut. 18:11).
Occult practices such as ouji boards, tarot cards, astrology charts, contacting the dead, and seances are to be avoided by the Christian.

Jesus changed me: I gave up ouji board dabbling and consulting my sign on the astrology charts! Praise God for his power!
