My question is referring to the office of the American presidency, not to a specific individual.

The bible is filled with prophesies about the “end times”, what will happen just before Jesus comes for the second time. The bible uses the terms “kings” and “kings of the nations” to refer to Presidents and other leaders of countries in existence during the end times. The bible puts these kings and countries into two camps: 1) those who openly reject the kingdom of God and refuse to worship Jesus, 2) those who have put their faith in Jesus and acknowledge his Lordship over their countries. The bible makes it clear that all evil and wickedness will be vanquished before Jesus sets foot upon the earth. That means that all leaders and individual citizens who reject Jesus will be dead and gone when he arrives. However, all people including leaders and Presidents who have put their faith in Jesus will celebrate his arrival with praise and worship. They will kneel before him in surrender and present their gifts, the best their countries have to offer. You see, no country plays a political role in the events of the end times, except to be used by God to exercise his judgment and annihilate all evil and wickedness. If you believe in the 1,000 year reign of a Christ upon the earth, he will rule with a rod of iron. He will enforce his rule upon the nations, as people are born into this kingdom and reject Jesus as Saviour and Lord. Satan, after release from being bound in the pit, will rally all these unbelievers in a Great War effort, but Fire came down from heaven and destroyed them all Every President and other national leader has a role to play, for good or evil. But they can’t do anything good without personal faith in Jesus.
Not specifically. The bible states some generalities about the world's political systems that would be applicable to the US system and the office of president. 1 Sam. 8 is a warning against the political systems of the world. Psalm 2 says God laughs & scoffs at political rulers. 1 Tim. 2 tells us to pray for rulers that they leave us alone so we may live in peace. Jesus said his kingdom is not of this world, and 1 Peter tells us we are aliens and strangers in the world, and also that we are to be separate and to not follow the systems of the world. The whole book of 1 Cor. Tells us to forsake the power systems of the world, and to embrace the foolishness of the cross. The book of Revelation portrays the politics of the world as the system of the anti-christ.
