Paul returned to Philippi through Macedonia.
Paul met with his following companions there:
1. Sopater of Berea
2. Aristarchus and Secundus - Acts 20:4; 27:2; Col. 4:10; Phm. 1:24.
3. Gaius of Derbe Acts 19:29.
4. Timotheus - Timothy.
5. Tychicus One of the trusted companions of Paul (Eph. 6:21; Col. 4:7; 2Tim. 4:12; Tit. 3:12).
6. Trophimus Another companion of Paul (Acts 20:4; 21:29; 2Tim. 4:20).
They came together to worship and take the Lord's Supper (1Cor. 10:16) at Troas. Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together. It was a longest sermon on record, at least 6 to 10 hours long (Acts 20:7,9,11).
And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. And Paul went down, and fell on him.
Paul resurrected him in the same way Elijah (1Ki. 17:17-24) and Elisha (2Ki. 4:33-35) brought back the dead.
God's name was glorified!
