In two different churches I have personally seen men wander off into fables.
I still cannot find the the word myth instead of fable in any manuscript I've studied.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 King James Version: 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
FABLES. are different than myths as the critical text like the NIV use. Even the codex siniticus and vaticanus use the word fable.
Why do the critical text bible versions use fables? My opinion is because WE need to know sound doctrine.
I recommend to everyone the received text bibles:1390 Wycliff, Coverdale, Matthew, Cranmer great bible, Geneva, King James bible and the American King James 1999,
2 Timothy 2:15 King James Version: 15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
