Yes, God does in fact have a sense of humor. This i know because HE created me!
My opinion on this question of does God have a sence of humor? Absolutely, It is how you relate to you own child. Doesn't one wrap a gift for their children at Christmas time. Sometimes putting the gift in a larger box than is required, letting our child think it is a different gift than they want. What a joy it is when the child opens up the box to discover a doll inside a larger box. Our Father is like that. His sence of humor derives from how and where a blessing or answer from a prayer is coming from.
When I think an answer is coming to me direct. Many times I find it comes from the most amazing way, I looking East and the answer comes from the West. It tickles me to no end and Im sure it does Him also. I have horses, I pay close attention to their attitude and behavior, I study them, supposing they will behave a certain way.Not so, sometimes He was put a twist to the horses and my relationship, something that I know comes from him. Telling me, surprise. Our Father speaks to use in many different ways, He like to use His creation to speak to us. Yes He is there in the midst of our crisis, but He is also there feeding the cat or doing the laundry. One of my favorite songs, This is my Fathers World. The verse "in the rustling grass I see Him pass, He speaks to me everywhere." Is so true.all we have to do is just listen.
When God struck those Philistines who erected Dagon with a case of hemorrhoids, I knew THEN that God had a sense of humor. ;) "And the cry of the city went up to heaven." I Samuel 5:12. Too, too funny.
What about Genesis 18:12-15 Where Sarah laughed and the Lord said to Abraham,"Why did Sarah laugh?" and then Sarah denied it, and God said "but you did laugh". I think this shows that God has a sense of humor.
